Thanks to DirectConnect to UCF, all students and graduates of Brevard Community College, Lake-Sumter Community College, Seminole Community College and Valencia Community College have exclusive access to UCF. This is a proactive initiative developed by the community college presidents to provide you with guaranteed access to UCF*.
UCF and its partner schools want you to have an easy, worry-free transition to UCF and its 11 Regional Campuses when you are ready to earn your bachelor’s degree.

College Students – You

Community College Alumni – If you have an associate’s degree from Brevard, Lake-Sumter, Seminole or Valencia community college, contact a UCF Regional Campuses advising or admission professional and indicate that you want to DirectConnect to UCF.
High
School Students – If
you are a high school student
and wish to earn your associate’s
degree from Brevard, Lake-Sumter,
Seminole or Valencia community
college, apply to the college
of your choice and indicate
on your application that
you want to DirectConnect
to UCF.

How is DirectConnect to UCF different from the 2+2?
- The 2+2 guarantees admission to one of the 11 state universities and not necessarily to one of your choice.
- Once you have indicated your participation in the program, the partner community college and UCF work together to prepare you for completion of your bachelor’s degree.
How do I sign up to participate in DirectConnect to UCF?
- Submit an application to Brevard, Lake-Sumter, Seminole or Valencia community college admissions office and complete a DirectConnect to UCF Agreement Form.
- Submit electronic application to UCF during the term in which you will complete 30 hours at the community college.
- Provide official transcripts from any other schools you have attended to your community college and UCF as well as any other required documents.
- Meet with an advisor before initial registration and at regular intervals to maintain an appropriate academic plan.
- At 15 hours, meet with your community college advisor.
- At 30 hours, meet with community college and UCF advisors.
- At 45 hours, meet with community college and UCF advisors and confirm status with UCF.
- Maintain continuous enrollment. Continuous enrollment is defined as being enrolled in classes without break of two or more consecutive regular semesters/terms.
- Complete your degree in six major semesters or less including prerequisite courses required for your intended major at UCF.
- Apply
for graduation from
the community college
by the published deadline
in the term you will
complete your requirements.
